A swirl of glowing blue butterflies emerging from a cracked marble pedestal in a sunlit gallery.

The fine arts department remains uncertain whether this counts as a masterpiece or a significant cleaning liability for the gallery.

The sculpture, originally intended to be a static tribute to the academy’s founders, began fluttering unexpectedly during Tuesday’s exhibition. Kael Varyn claims the enchantment was merely far too enthusiastic about the seasonal migration patterns currently passing through the bell towers.

While the visual effect was undeniably breathtaking, several nearby charcoal sketches were unfortunately lost to the swarm. The Arts Committee is currently debating whether the swarm should be officially archived in the gallery or simply released back into the wild.
